I confess. I'm busy. Really busy. Yes, even though I am a teacher and have "my summer's off," I've been busier than ever here at LC Fitness. It is a struggle managing family time, countless hours behind the desk at the fitness center, teaching ten classes of Zumba, Zumba Toning, and hip hop a week, creating new Zumba routines, and learning an entirely new format aka Pound. This schedule truly leaves very little time to myself. We all are busy, but I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone that we must make some time for ourselves.
Realizing that Wednesday is my least busy day, I scheduled an appointment with Jill to get an hour-long full-body massage. At first, I thought of it as a bit of an indulgent treat, but the more I think about it, the more I realize that I wasn't really treating myself.... Massage is treating your body right.
Jill creates a beautiful and nurturing atmosphere and she was sure to ask about my expectations, sore spots, and paid special attention and therapeutic care to those areas.
